Ah-hsi and Ah-yo were men who struggled out of poverty to become successful, and after making their fortunes in the city they were returning to their native place. Approaching their village they met an old man who said he was on a mission from the Spirit World to tell them they had only three days left in this world, after which the old man would strike the gong and thus their lives would come to an end. Only three days left to live! What was to become of Ah-hsi and Ah-yo?
